I like the song, but I’m really not into the video. I mentioned my hatred of this aesthetic a while ago, when I was whining about Azealia Banks’ video for ‘Atlantis’. I get it – but I just don’t like it. Everything about this shoddy aesthetic is unnecessary, especially when the musicians utilising it are the kind with big budgets and record labels behind them. This kind of amateurism is incredibly contrived and I hope this trend goes away soon – it’s hurting my eyes!
